DualShock 3 motion sensing
2 months ago I confused between the DualShock 3 and the Xbox 360 controller, but finally get the Xbox because many say that it is better for first person shooter, which is the main reason I get it for. They say the L2 and R2 are crappy compared to LT and RT Mellow.

Anyway, a few minutes ago I read Wiki and found that the DualShock 3 has a feature called "Sixasis", which basically the motion sensing capacity. I feel as if I spend most of my life under a rock but I do not own a PS3 so I need to ask. Is that feature the same as the Wiimote's motion sensing? It is no good for PCSX2 because PS2 games don't use it, but is it any good for Dolphin? I intend to buy one and use it to emulate the Wiimote in Dolphin Cool.

It is weird but I watched many PS3 games on YouTube but have never seen any game that utilizes this feature.

Edit: Btw is there any PC game that uses the controller motion sensing?

RE: DualShock 3 motion sensing
The sixaxis is a gyro sensor inside the controller. Movement moves the gyros and the change is interpreted by the controller. If the support is in the pc drivers or not I couldn't say.

RE: DualShock 3 motion sensing
AFAIK the Motioninjoy driver for DualShock 3 does support sixaxis. The problem is I do not know any PC game that supports motion sensing. Maybe it is a waste of money for this.

RE: DualShock 3 motion sensing
the dual axis sensor in motionjoy replaces the left stick behavior iirc.
