Erementar Gerad game help!

im using pcsx2 1.0...but still i cant play the erementar gerad...im stuck after the intro and the screen flicks..I thought it hangs but i can still here the sound from the main menu..can someone help me?

Not OP but I have the game and I just tested it and I have the same issue. The intro plays I press the start button to skip the intro and the video poops out (freezes?) but I can start the game and hear the characters talking.

EDIT:
Ok just did a little poking around and the game only works when using GSDX's software renderer pressing F9 makes the game work but its slow and robotic sounding. None of the GSDX hacks worked neither did turning off the texture filter or allow 8 bit textures functions. Doesn't matter which DirectX version I use either.

EDIT2:
ZeroGS and ZZOgl both produce pretty much the same error with ZeroGS actually showing the main menu but showing a black screen then on and ZZOgl craps out the same as GSDX does.

EDIT3:
BTW all my Emulation Settings are default except I'm using 16x9 and I have the MTVU setting enabled.

EDIT4:
Ahh I knew there was a game fix in the settings somewhere "VU XGkick Hack - For Erementar Gerad" in the Emulation Settings sadly it doesn't seem to work whatever it does. Enabling it manually doesn't help either.

EDIT5:
Oh that setting is to fix colors it doesn't get past the fact it wont work with hardware rendering.

I followed OminaeYu and when i press f9 the game works Smile but still it moves like super slow motion xD

It's a known issue, the game will only work with GSdx software mode, thus you need a pretty powerful CPU to run it at good speeds

Yes bositman is right.but sometimes these problems are related to windows xp.

Windows XP may be part of the problem but since njustinjames and I are both using Windows 7 that isn't relevant Tongue2

haha can anyone post their emulation settings?
any tricks to have a high fps? Laugh

one more thing...I cant play the "vs com mode" ....it hangs in the loading after i choose the characters..

2 solutions for you :
- keep playing on your ps2
- buy a decent pc


Apart from that, no miracle will be possible in software mode...
