Every Game Crashes
#1
I really have no idea what's going on. I've tried pretty much every release of PCSX2 and they all crash on me. It doesn't matter what game, settings, version, or plugin combination, they all crash. I'll be playing it for a few minutes and the pcsx2 will just disappear.

Huh that can't be. Have u read the configuration guide ?
http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Official-...tion-guide

Are u sure every release crash, including the latest beta (r1888) ? That can't be unless u got problems in your Windows, or maybe caused by certain viruses. And can u please provide more detailed information regarding the Pcsx2 behaviour or something that has to do with it.

What game? What settings?

Check your CPU temps if anything.

Versions I've tried: 0.9.6, 0.9.6 + r1888 plugins, 0.9.6 + march plugins, pcsx2 r1888, pcsx2 r1888 + march plugins, and dozens upon dozens of SVN builds.

Plugins I use: LilyPad, SPU2-X, Linuz Iso CDVD, USBnull, FWnull, DEV9null, GSdx, ZZogl

Games Played: Fight Night Round 3, Fire Pro Wrestling Returns, Burnout 3, .HACK Pt. 1, FF 12, FF X, God Of War 2, Gradius 5, Gran Turismo 4, GTA 3, Hot Shots Golf Fore, Killzone, MGS 3, Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3

CPU temps never go above 67C and GPU temps never go above 75C

GSdx settings: 1920x1080, Direct3D9 (Hardware), Interlacing None, Aspect Ratio 16x9, D3D Internal 1024x1024, Texture Filtering, Allow 8-bit textures, Log-Z, Alpha Correction

I've tried several combinations of the above and it always crashes.

I use the default settings for things like EE/IOP and VUs.

Can't really go into more details about the crash. I try and play a game and after a few minutes it just quits. No error messages or anything. Don't even have a chance to look at the console.

That usually happens when your cpu isn't stable, if you're overclocking try using the stock speed for your cpu.

75C is a very high temp you will fry your cpu soon

Try to reduce your FSB Multiplier.

My GPU goes up to 75C (30C below max) and my CPU goes up to 67C (8C below max). I really need to get a new CPU heatsink.

I've had it overclocked since I got it. I remember playing Fire Pro Wrestling Returns on it back when 0.9.5 was released and it never crashed on me then. I can also run PC games like Titan Quest Immortal Throne, Madden 08, and Counter-Strike Source for hours without it crashing or anything. If the CPU was unstable, they would all be crashing too.

The only thing I can think that's different is having .NET Framework installed now. Other than that, nothing on my system really ever changes since I like to keep it locked down as much as possible.
