I have PAL FFX and never got a crash, but yeah that's a mac section probably works differently. I didn't had such early save, but I converted the save from above to PAL. I left the NTSC one inside, so don't be confused if you see 2 saves inside.

I'm pretty sure 7zip had mac version too, but just in case, non-packed version:

from the thread

go to that post to download the attached version. or click here http://forums.pcsx2.net/attachment.php?aid=28953
that .7z should have a PAL and NTSC version, and the thread has a link earlier to just a ntsc and the megaupload quoted is just a PAL (i think).

found via searching "memory card" in the mac support forum

I've had the same problem and downloaded both memcards recommended in the forum. Do I delete the existing memcard file in my memory card folder and rename the one I downloaded Mcd001 or 2?

i would save the one you have as something else in case you want to put it back in for other saves on it etc (ie. mcd001(old)).

but just put it in there in place of that one (although you probably wish to just rename the original and give the new one that name so you can keep it).
