FF XII Low FPS
#1
This game is almost unplayable in some areas unless i fix my camera to look at the floor so i can get 50/60fps, which i'm doing 90% of the time, i tried all speed hacks and nothing works, tried native and then it just looks crappy and still runs slow. i even tried using the 8 bit option and still low fps. any suggestions to what speed hacks or graphics i should use?

check native resolution video settings, and select direct3d10 (hardware)
try putting ee cycle rate to x2, and check everything cpu settings...try frameskip as well.

You're using a laptop, with a low clock speed CPU. Idk if you can get full speed with any kind of setting, due to the weak CPU.

The best thing would be to ask a friend with knowlage in that field. Otherwise just google it, maybe you can find a guide for your specific hardware.

don't overclock laptops! it's far more dangerous than a overclocking a desktop cpu.
you might end up frying your cpu up due to bad laptop cooling.

it has very good information on general overclocking but its for core 2 series not dual cores like yours, u can still use it to understand what u have to do but for specific instruction u have to google your motherboard and/or cpu on how to oc them, dont start changing things randomly before u understand what overclock is and what u change actually does. also go slow, oc is not something u will get in 30 min. it might get your whole day. or even days!!! good luck on reading Tongue

it has to be either your pc specs or your game/emulator settings

you could wait for 0.9.7 to see if it'll run better and also don't overclock your laptop....it'll fry your cpu b/c i have a laptop and trust me laptop cooling isn't that good so you don't want to try it
