FFX High Settings Help
#1
Hey guys here are my specs to start with:

AMD 965 BE
4Gb Ram
Ati 5770
Windows XP x64

I am running the game at Full Speed at 1920x1080 with pretty much all the graphic plug-in stuff checked off but I get frame rate lag when there is an explosion or some other effect on screen, I know it's not a big deal compared to issues other people having but thought I'd see if you guys had and tips.

I have enabled all the recommended speedhacks but no real change before and after.

Though with my same settings I can't get Dark Cloud 2 to run as fast sadly.

Would upgrading to Win 7 help? I have been planning on doing it soon but will fast track it if it helps.

could help a bit since you could use dx10
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go

yes it would definitely help, there's significant difference between using dx11 plugin (your gpu supports it, i have the same) and dx9. Make sure that you update Direct X too.

he has windows xp so dx 10 or 11 wont help him.

reduse the resolution of the games that will give you better speeds. (try just 1024 / 1024 then use scaling options to set it to a resolution you are happy with.
