FFX fps drop sometimes. (hiccups)
#1
Hi,

I have a problem that is realy bothering me. When i enter new locations and at almost every start of a battle (with new enemies) and sometimes in cutscenes the fps drops abit. And because of that the sound get wierd and make an annoying noise which is the worst part. When i go to the same shop/location that lagged, for the second time it dosent lag at all. The only configurations i have made to the game is 3x native resolution. Even if i turn that to native it lags just as much. So im wondering if anyone got any idea what the problem might be. One thing that might come to help is that i just reinstalled windows the other day.

Additional Info

I am playing the game with the ISO file directly.

Thanks for your time.

Are you running the game directly from the disc?

Edit: for some reason I missed the part telling about the ISO, sorry.

please post your emulation settings by screenshots.

What happens if you alter texture filtering tickbox (in all of the three modes) and the "allow 8-bit textures"?

You can change to Async mix in SPU2-X settings if the sound bothers you.
