FFX game freezing in Sanubia desert
#1
All of my settings are default and my game keep freezing right after you meet up with Rikku. As soon as the battle with the machina starts, she says to let her handle it but the game freezes on her. The sound keeps going, but everything else is frozen. I'd go to a previous save file but the last time I made a separate save was 10 hours prior. Any help would be appreciated because I'm stuck here and can't go any further.

Are you loading from a saveSTATE? If you are, the error is gonna keep happening until you go back to a save file.

Trying to play FFX with an ISO file.

All of my settings are currently at default, the only thing I applied were controls for an xbox controller, sorry for the confusion and lack of detail in my previous post

I'm loading it from a save file in game, not a save state. Would going to a previous save be the only way to fix it? My last save file that's not the current one I'm using was made 10 hours ago, so if possible I would prefer to not resort to that

Is this what you need? I'm not too savvy about these kinds of things. I just copied from when the game loaded to when the game froze. I was only loaded into game for 1 minute before the battle crash. Is there any specific sources that need to be selected in the log?

Sorry for not fully knowing what it is that I'm doing ):

It could be that the ISO image is corrupted.

Change SPU2-x to use Xaudio2 or Portaudio.

Changing the audio didn't work. If the ISO file is corrupted, is it fixable? Will downloading another file solve the problem? If not, is there anything to recommend in order to keep playing? If I find my old FFX disc and play off of that, will it work?

Not engaging in piracy might solve the problem.
