FFX messed up FMVs

seems like an iso from a very scratched disc, aka a bad iso, to me. try remaking your iso.

Should have start by saying that Tongue

So you say the FFX gamefix only helps for one FMV? This is starting the emulator with the gamefix enabled at start?

Try disabling patches in the system menu.

So just ripped a new Iso from my original disc and nothing changed. I doubt the Iso is broken, because in 1888, the videos have no grey garbage just the 'normal' flicker. The grey garbage seems to be a problem of 3113.
Patches were disabled from the very beginning.
The gamefix seems to remove the grey garbage, but not the flicker, if started from the very beginning.
If the fix is activated while the FMV is playing, EVERYTHING is fixed. But the next FMV is messed up again, without grey garbage.
I also found out, that if gamefix is activated before the start, it fixes everything, if I pause and resume.

Yeah sounds complicated, I try to make it more comprehensible:
PCSX2 3113, no Speedhacks, no patches

No gamefix -> grey garbage and flicker
gamefix from beginning -> flicker, in case I pause and resume with Esc it fixes everything, software mode fixes everything, going back to hardware mode from software fixes also everything
gamefix activated while FMV playing -> fine, in this case next FMV flickers again

PCSX 1888, no hacks, no patches
Only flicker, fixable by Software mode

UH... so summary....

Keep the FFX fix enabled and use software (F9) while the FMVs play, right?

And it's for FFX PAL, NTSC should only need the gamefix.

Yeah that works. Still not what I call an attractive solution, but well that's emulation. Thanks for the help
