1) Effect from the game that doesn't look so good on your monitor, try using the (Software) renderer or the "native" option in hardware so you won't notice it much. You can also try to remove it in (Hardware) by using the GSdx on the latest beta plugin pack and setting skipdraw in the .ini to 1 apparently. Oh and enabling that blur option doesn't help much either I guess.
2) Pause menu: Try using the GSdx in the latest plugin beta pack or using a (Software) renderer.
3) Glitches in text: Happens when using higher than native resolutions so try ticking "native" if it bothers you that much.
4) Disable 8-bit textures and the blur effect, those don0t help on this game.

Hardware renderer looks much better. The beta plugin seems to fix the pause menu, but it's still a bit blurry during fights and cut scenes (I think it's better than before). I guess I'll have to live with it.
thanks

The blur is an actual effect of the game, which is there on the actual PS2 as well. It just looks crap after you upscale everything to huge resolutions and watch it on a PC monitor instead of a TV
