@fuzzymillipede

I'm looking to recreate the (standard) sphere grid, scrambled version seems to random and the maxed version too cluttered, I would like to edit the nodes in a more "believable" way. Is there a way for you to post/attach/send me an export of the node list for the Standard PAL Grid?
This would help a lot with node calculation.

Thanks in advance!

for the possibility that fuzzymillipede needs some days to look on it: may i help you?Laugh how do you want to edit them? the easiest thing is to edit your saves, get some teleport-spheres and maybe editing your s.lvls...and maxing out the normal nodes only brings one 200+ value...with rikku i tested that...also what do you understand under "believable" way? if you got the right equip(some hours farming) and do the right lvltrick (tomberry) you get a lot of things on a believable way...^^

You can view the list of unedited nodes by looking at an unedited save in FFXED.

What I mean is, I'm trying to fill the lockss and empty nodes with different attributes so that the sphere grid is maxed out.
But to calculate how many nodes need to be replaced and with what, it would be really usefull if i could export the node list from my (or any savegame with the standard PAL grid).
Is it possible for you to do this?

RE: FFXED: Final Fantasy X Save Editor
here´s something that could maybe interest you:

" There are 828 nodes total on the original Sphere Grid. (The original grid is
also known as the beginner grid in the European release.) 500 of these are
pre-filled stat nodes, 191 are empty nodes waiting to be filled, 60 are Sphere
Locks (which you may erase with Key Spheres to become empty nodes), and 77 are
ability nodes. You can use Clear Spheres on shoddy stat nodes and replace them
with better ones, but this will take a VERY long time. Erasing a Magic +1 node
and replacing it with a Magic +4 node is an intelligent and proper use of
Clear Spheres. Just remember that if you use a Clear Sphere on a node, and
replace it with something else, all your characters will have to re-activate
it. JungleJim wrote a Stat Maxing FAQ addressing this very question, which I
suggest you read if you're gung-ho about seeing lots of 255's on your status
screen, or just want to know the breakdown of how many nodes of each kind are
on both Sphere Grids. You can find it at GameFAQs.com."

(Copied from http://www.gamefaqs.com/ps2/197344-final...faqs/14783 at point P)

maybe this helps you more...i had seen a better link some months ago on the net but i don´t find it anymore...it would match that what you´re looking for...

Thanks for the link!
I found this one aswell, but it doesn't cover what i'm looking for.
With an exported list I could see how many nodes there are per attribute (STR/DEF/LOCKS etc).
Then calculate how many extra nodes are needed (assuming everything is at +4) to reach the cap, and assign them to the "proper" location on the grid (for example; fill empty nodes near Yuna/ Lulu with Magic Relevance, and Auron/Kimahri with Attack Relevance).
This way you could create a natural progression where you can max the grid without the grind, yet still keep a sense of achievement.

I understand if this is not the best place to request such a thing, but I thought it would also be useful to have this as a MAX Sphere Grid option in FFXED.

RE: FFXED: Final Fantasy X Save Editor
well...where should i start...to max out your stats you should collect all monsters, defeat "Ultima Buster" and buy spheres to blow away nodes with +1 and replace them with +4 nodes ^^ also you can calculate how many you need....255(statcap) divided by 4(every node you replace is a +4 node) is at about 64...so you need from every stat 64 spheres...(but you don´t need luck), then there are the +300hp and +40mp spheres, but you don´t need more than 999mp...
i hope that bit of calc helps you...^^"

RE: FFXED: Final Fantasy X Save Editor
Hey, anyone else have this problem? I've recently managed to get a modded save uploaded to my PS3, I gave Tidus dual Buster Swords (sword and shield model changed) Yuna a beer bottle, Auron the Jecht Blade and a beer bottle, and Rikku got a saw and a dagger of some kind (forget what it was called)

The problem is that the game tends to crash. The Jecht Blade sends the game into an actual crash and returns me to the XMB the moment it shows up, the beer bottles cause the game to lock up randomly and freeze in place, and the Buster Sword(s) cause the game to lock up any time Tidus gets the killing blow on an enemy with a standard attack (when the camera changes angle to zoom in on the kill). So far, Rikku is the only one whose weapon/shield isn't causing lockups.
