FFXED: Final Fantasy X Save Editor
Just was wondering what fuzzymillipede uses to set cheat codes?
I found a code twink post from you and was wanting to know what I need to get the yojimbo hacks working on ps2.
Oh yeah, Thanks for all the hard work and time spent on FFXED it gave me a reason to blow the dust off ffx and have another jam on it Smile

If I remember correctly, controlling Jojimbo is done by using cheats, not editing memory card saves and for enabling cheats you can use whatever you want(the pcsx2 pnach system,Cheat Engine,ArtMoney,CodeBreaker(kinda complicates)and so on)

Question
Hi there! I have two questions regarding dark aeons and FFXED.
fuzzymillipede, I saw your posts on neoseeker: http://www.neoseeker.com/forums/569/t149...s-penance/ and I got very interested in the subject. I watched your videos and decided to give it a try.
So, I hacked my save file through FFXED and put Anima and Bahamut into Kimahri's and Wakka's party slots - I overwrote them, and inactivated both Kimahri and Wakka so they wouldn't appear ingame.
In the Item menu I added both "Possessed by Yu Yevon Bahamut" and "Possessed by Yu Yevon Anima" to my inventory.
When I loaded the save file (in PCSX2) and got into battle I switched two active party members with Anima and Bahamut. I made both of them use the "Possessed by Yu Yevon" item command and they indeed turned Dark. I summoned them with Yuna and there they appeared Dark as well.
The thing is... when the battle was over the "Dark" effects wore off. So, next time I summoned them they were the original aeons once again.
What d'you have to do to avoid the aeons from returning to their original colors through FFXED, like you did in your Dark Anima video? I noticed you started the battle with Anima already wearing "Dark" colors.

My second question is about the character's battle menu. I saw this youtube video of Dark Ifrit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wikxxdCeCWg and he had HellFire integrated into the menu. Is that possible to do through FFXED?

Many thanks in advance and sorry for the long post. Smile

You need to use the Possessed by Yu Yevon every battle. In my video I edited out the part where Anima uses the possessed item. If you want to summon the aeons as dark without doing this, you have to use a cheat code to swap the aeon's model to the dark one and then swap one of the party member's models to the corresponding aeon's normal model.

If you don't swap a party member's model with the regular aeon model, then the dark aeon model will not be animated. For some reason the game will not load the animations for the dark aeon models. By making the game load the regular aeon model as well, it gets tricked into loading the animations needed for the dark aeon model.

The cheat code method was used for these videos:

As to your question about adding attacks to the main menu, you have to write your own cheat codes to add the ability into the menu for the character you want. Sadly, the information needed to make these codes was lost a while ago when the forum it was on was deleted.

Oh, I see it now! Thank you for the quick and direct response!
Keep up the excellent work, FFXED is awesome!

So I am trying to use the cheat codes which make Valefor look like Braskas final Aeon. Alas I cannot do it. I just got out of Besaid and have valefor and this is how my pnach file looks, but when I summon valefor with Yuna nothing happens. Its the normal valefor and everything. I used valefor because you mention somehwere that in order for the final aeon to not be halfway undergournd you have to use valefor. Well... i'm at a loss

Never mind that did in fact work. Turns out if you dont put a patch= with a lowercase p instead of uppercase code doesnt wokr

I do have another question though. How do I unlock aeons to be summoned by yuna 1 by 1? Say if I wanted to unlock ifrit before I got to kilika temple instead of just having valefor. Can i do that through ffxed?
Reply
Also How exactly do you allow yuna's summons to use items. If I were to change the ifirit model to braskas aeon, I cant just use items. How do I allow that command once yuna summons brasaks aeon. I want this becausse I cant use the assigned moves that are in "items" like Jecht shot, etc.

Use FFXED to give Valefor the Item command.
