FFXI Saves Always Corrupt
#1
I'm using my CD to play my game. Other games can save/load just fine.
It's just Final Fantasy XII [SLUS 20963] (U) [0779FBDB] I'm having troubles
with. When I play it on a console beforeI never experienced the
files being corrupt.

I deleted and created new memory card in PCSX2 v.1.0.0,
but my saves still ended up corrupt.

I hope you can help me solve it without ripping it.

*Please don't close the thread. I haven't found the answer to my last post.
I thought what he's asking me to download/use has hack/keylogger to it.

I'm not a tech type of person. I didn't know.
You don't have to use !!! on me.

Isn't there another way aside from ripping it?

Ripping it means taking the contents of the disk and making a file of it (iso) that the emulator can read directly from your computer. It's infinitely faster with loading times, and on a successful rip you can be practically sure the file contains the data of the disk in pristine condition, regardless of the state of the disc itself.
It's all about ruling out whether the disc has some miniscule fault that could be causing the saves to be corrupted, and while i find that unlikely, maybe it's worth a try.

And don't mind Preet, he's pretty young and his english is proof of that Tongue

I don't think anyone really has an answer for a problem so bizarre, and that's why they're trying to rule out as may possibilities as they can.

I'm confused to why you are so against ripping your CD? You realise it doesn't destroy your disc and will probably work better right?

but guys (KetchupT100 im looking at you) please avoid pointless spammy posts, we don't allow that on these forums.

My suggestion would be to disable any patches/cheats if you have any on. Then delete the whole memcard, let PCSX2 create a new one, format it and start over
