i haven't had any trouble with boss fights and the lowest my fps hits is usually about 40 and even then it only lasts an instant. Do you have custom frame skipping set up too like in my earlier posts? PS2 emulators aren't 100% stable so save often and make save states, not much else I can say there.

Also closing everything else down so just pcsx2 is running can improve performance and stability. And if you are on a laptop, having it plugged in can give a slight boost in performance.

ya its tolerable. I have firefox, safari, aim, msn, and Vlc player open watching movie sometimes. taht is def the issue. save states save my ass. i dont even use the crystals anymore.

yeah newer browsers and websites do a lot, even in the background. i usually shut it all down because if im playing video games i really dont need to watch a movie or anything. also, i found the snow leopard 10.6.7 update helped a little if you dont already have it. its a month or 2 old already though so you probably do.

got a problem for yall. Im almost beaten this game, All i need to do is head towards bahamut but doin sidequests, hunts, weapons, etc. I just defeated gil snapper im headed back to rabanastre from the giza plains when its raining and right before the change of screen to rabanastre the game shuts down everytime. it gives me this error.

memcards are accessed by right clicking pcsx2 and clicking show package contents. From there its Content>Resources>pcsx2>memcards.
