FMV in Silent Hill 2 is fixed!
#1
Just tried out the new Hardware Hack; "Unscale Point Line", and it works as advertised. No longer any need to switch to software rendering for FMV's in Silent Hill 2.

Only issue left for that game that I can tell is a slight bit of texture flicker. Tried lots of settings, to no avail. Anybody know of a quick fix for this? In a game like Silent Hill, atmosphere, mood and sense of place are vital, and texture flicker tends to ruin that.

Ypu sure it's silent Hill 2? I've never had any FMV issues in SH2 in HW mode. But SH3 is a different story.

SH2 definitely had FMV issues in HW mode.

I'll have to check the game to look into the texture flickering.

To be honest, it really is super minor. Check out the manhole cover when you exit the public toilet right at the start. It will flicker at odd times when you walk in front of it or behind the telephone pole.
