FPS

I have gone through the configuration guide and still stuck around 6 FPS in Castlevania: Curse of Darkness using PCSX2 0.9.6 for Win Vista x64. Am I missing something? And is it possible to use a cheat device with the emulator?

You got it wrong. Its the unofficial alpha builds (0.9.7) which arent supported, because theyre still unstable (hence the alpha thing). But to my experience they're good to play with, no support though.

Also 'supported' might mean something different than what you think it means. Supported generally means, if it breaks, you can come here and get some help to get it fixed, and it usually means it's pretty stable. It doesn't mean they're obligated to do so, though. Smile

This differs from, say, a commercial product which is supported by some kind of warranty, which means if it breaks, they cover it with money or a replacement.

I downloaded beta and plugins that you linked to. Previously it let me run game from CD, now it forces me to run an iso file and goes through some sort file scan that keeps crashing. It then opens PS2 interface, asking me to set system defaults and then says to insert disc.
