Fatal Frame III Memory Card Issues

I cannot begin to even play this game as it shows me a screen saying "Cannot find game data on memory card (8GB) (For Playstation 2) in MEMORY CARD slot 1."

I am running on ver 1.2.1 of pcsx2, have formatted both memory cards, and I'm just lost at what to do from here as I have also combed through previous threads yet found no help.

I'm not very tech savvy, but if further information is needed I will gladly provide. Thanks in advance!

Then you've never played the game before on PCSX2 so it's not going to find any game data. Just choose to cancel it.
