Fedora 12 (32bit) + FX5500 problems with GL
Hello, I downloaded, compiled & installed pcsx2 (0.96 & beta) and I've had trouble to make it work.

Box is Intel c2 (genuine) + NVIDIA FX-5500. All software dependencies satisfied (checked twice). Emulator hangs with an error window "Error Opening GS Plugin" and console gives me:

ZeroGS: creating zerogs
ZeroGS: Got Doublebuffered Visual!

ZeroGS: you have Direct Rendering!

But there's no additional debug information.

I've seem this problem in other discussion lists, but have not seen any working hint on how to solve the problem. Can someone help me please ???

You'd better try ZZogl, I have a bit better debug output. This text does not contain error message and hereby could not be used for debug.

Yeah ZZogl usefull only for some games, but in another may cause problems and glitches Smile
I don't understand why people use Unix system? many years a lot read info's, and always people have issue's with these systems, just use Windows 7, very fast system! eat small amount of memory - 870MB and perfectly detect hardware, Linux only like a multimedia center or for work or browsing Internet ;-)
Because Windows suxx for such many tasks and cost a lot of money for every bit of code. But this is not the thread to discuss Linux vs, Windows or even gsdx vs. zzogl.
Oh really? but why i don't have any problems in Windows, plus my PC very cheap 800$, you may see my specs in my topic's, my PC very good for hard applications ;-)

You right i don't want create rivalry, just i mad when hear word: "Suck" this word very violent! i don't want tell why i hate this word ;-)

Maybe latest beta Pcsx2 0.9.7 2240 help you, if this built available for linux, download it, because i found good ZZ ogl plugin in this latest releases Smile

It crashes 1rst run. But 2nd run gives-me:

ZZ Ogl :0.20.198 not work? i see you Video Card not support: GL_EXT_blend_equation_separate, try to change video card and try again
If it possible try to install Everest Ultimate and check GL support, but i sure FX video cards dont support shaders 3.0/4.0 and many GL too!

Because in past, i have Geforce FX 5700 and know all weak side's these video cards, as always have a lot problems with games too, try to buy for example: 6600GT or 6800Ultra ;-)
