While you can wait for the linux-experts maybe a hint from a windows user:

Gegory just updated the ppa-source to the new official build.

So maybe it would be better to use that instead...

(But I actually dont know...)

Have you tried running the emu without an iso/dvd?

The ppa-source won't help dxfir if he's downloading from the Fedora rpmfusion repos. I will be updating the Fedora build to 1.2 in the next few days, although realistically it will be several weeks before it is pushed into the main (no-testing) repos at rpmfusion.

It's probably not a bug with the package anyway. I'm not the best person to offer debugging advice but the message "HLE Notice: ELF does not have a path." seems to imply there is something wrong with the path to the dvd? I don't have pcsx2 in front of me (and may not get access to the host machine for a day or two), but:
1. Does your DVD work in other applications?
2. if so is the path used by these applications replicated in the pcsx2 setup (I'm guessing that the plugin will allow a path to be specified)?

If the GS plugin is failing to load your probably missing some critical dependencies for GSdx.
OS: Linux Mint 17.2 64 bit (occasional Antergos/Arch user)
(I am no longer a Windows user)
CPU: Intel Pentium G3258
GPU: Nvidia GTX 650 Ti

could uninstalling then reinstalling the binary resolve this dependency or is the problem less trival.

I don't think that will help. I wonder if this is a fedora 20 problem of some kind. Could you try with a different GS plugin to determine if the problem occur with all the graphics plugins?

GPU? drivers?

Gumbo did you compile zzogl with glsl or cg?

Yes testing gsdx might help too.

Gregory, I compiled with cg, and this should be picked up in the package dependencies.

dxfir, let us know what graphics device and drivers you are using. The new Fedora rpm for 1.2 is almost ready, I just need to rebuild it cleanly in mock for public release, but I've run out of time tonight - I will post it tomorrow evening, and then you can see if the new package fixes your problem.

It is done - you will find the updated package for pcsx2 1.2 in the fedora sticky - it will be a few weeks before it is pushed on rpmfusion.
