Hi there again. I have another question already Tongue Yesterday I went from Windows XP to Vista, because it's supposed to be better for pcsx2, but for now it's exactly the opposite - the fps dropped by about 10% - both when I'm with DirectX 9 and 10. And on top of that I also got another 2 GB of RAM, so it should be a lot faster. I'm currently playing FFX-2, do you think other games will also be slower than before, or is this game something of an exception?

For me both ffx and ffx-2 suffer a small slowdown compared to xp on win7/2008r2 (except summoning shiva it was a big difference between them in that case), even on vista it was not so much as 10% however... other games will benefit a lot from dx10 thou so you shouldnt worry much. I'd try to figure out why is the 10% slowdown tho.

More RAM doesn't increase the FPS, as PCSX2 doesn't use any more than 512 MB, and the gain and loss effect is different from game to game, but as Lady said, other games will benefit from Dx10.

You probably haven't used enough to change option that might help improve performance.
