As the Post implies I noticed While running Pcsx2 with Gsdx cutie r5206m that while playing with x3 native in hardware mode that the fmv video`s played back without distortion, in fact there was no noticeable distortion at any res. I thought one of the dev`s mght be interested in this info as it might help fix "Our" pluggins problem
The source code for cutie has also been released

nice job it's good plugin Gsdx Cutie v5 ,
now my crash bandicoot it's not native resolution , it's X2 and game are beauty
thanks and continue to ameliorate this plugin

those fmv are supposed to be brighter, but i agree too that cutie is first plugin that can hardware render ffx-2 fms.
still, there is only 3 or 4 fmvs in ffx-2 so i still suggest use software to render it to get nearly perfect graphic

selecting the correct deinterlacing mode improves the brightness

Not to mention i had my laptop brightness set to lowest
So yeah it`s maybe a user error that makes it look so dark

brightness only affects the image you see
