2ghz won't give you full speed, you need to be having a cpu running at near 3GHz to run FFX at full speed.

nah, I got it to run at full speed on my 2.53ghz pc without speed hacks, it only lagged during rare points where there was lots of motion in the background.

You mite be able to get it to run near full speed with speed hacks.

EDIT:

Oh and make sure your running your game off an ISO you made from your CD. Remember that your harddrive speed is gonna be faster than your CD/DVD drive speeds. It may speed things up slightly.
