Final Fantasy X, need to increase framerate

My FPS is sort of bouncy, it goes from 40 to 60 to 40 in this game (and Katamari Damacy as well.) It seems to just be polyrendering issues, and all speedhacks up to "dangerous" had no effect. Plz halp!

Your CPU is pretty old, isn't that the first iteration of K10? The clockspeed is a little low. If you can manage to bus-clock OC it a little, that could help.

I am amazed to see someone saying they can't run FFX in 2014.

I remember back in 2006 I played this with a AMD X2 3800 something @ 2.4GHZ and managed reasonably well, except for a few areas. Also, W8 confused me the first time I saw this topic. Didn't realize how old that processor was.

Not much you can do if you won't OC.
