Are you playing in vista or xp? What is about warning of windows after crash? I guess that problem with your grapich card driver?

XP (DX9). There is no warning, it just says "PCSX2 has to close, we are sorry for the inconvenience" (generic windows error reporter).

I don't believe it's a problem with my graphics card driver, wouldn't make sense to not work only with PCSX2 and only with GSDX and only cause crashes at only certain spots.

Well, I was playing fine outside of Rabanastre when all of a sudden the game froze, and the graphics garbled to like a black screen with a purple tear going across... fps dropped to 5, CPU usage rose to 94%, and then it crashed as usual. No, my video card is not over-heating or anything like that. Smile

I was using GSDX 0.1.8. I hope that helps somehow.

so could a older version of GSDX help my frame rate issue?

@deathwish666: That depend which game, but in reference you can try the game with gsdx.0.1.4, gsdx.0.1.6, gsdx.0.1.7, gsdx.0.1.9, gsdx.0.1.10 and gsdx.0.1.14.

i had the same problem when i playing the game it work fine but in the movie it slowdown to 17fps any suggestion?
