Final Fantasy XII - IZJS US Menu lag cause
#1
Not sure if this is the right section for this...

I recently go back into playing with PCSX2 (Vr. 1.0.0) with Final Fantasy XII - International Zodiac Job System. Wile using default settings I noticed wile in menus (including battle menu) my FPS drops from 60 to 35-40 for battle menu and down to 45-50 for normal menu.

I looked through the forums to see what other people tried for this and wasn't able to find anything that worked for me. I then tried changing things one by one to see if I could find something myself. What I found out was wile using any of the GSdx 5334 plugins (that came with 1.0.0) on either DX9 or DX11 hardware I was getting the menu lag. With them turned to software I got no lag at all. This was tested with and without SLI.

I should also mention that my laptop does NOT have this problem. steady 60 fps at all times at 1080p with Dx11 hardware.

^ Do this(SLI will slow down PCSX2)

Uncheck "Allow 8 bit textures" in GS plugin settings.

However, I have this issue too. I discussed it with someone else one time, but I don't remember the thread.

I actually already tried w/o sli. I have gotten it to run smoothly from time to time but when I pause emulation and rune it is slowing down again.

If its the same issue as me http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-FFXII-slo...enu-s-only then disabling 8-bit textures doesn't really help.

@op: nice rigSmile are you using upscaling? try lowering it a bit, although you shouldn't have too.
