I want to play Digital Devil Saga, Persona 4 and Magna Carta. In DDS and Persona I had good fps rate but during fights it was about 35 fps so about 45-50 woul be enough. Magna Carta had about 20fps, and Suikoden 3 was about 17 Tongue

AMD x2 6400+
2GB DDR
GF 8600GT
WinXP SP2
games at pcsx2 will run under playable speed (60fps)? I mean most of all RPG games not action/fighting like TEKKEN.

playable speed 60fps for RPGs? I have to laugh at that, I play action games, even God Of War, at 16 and do just fine. so playable is quite a broad term, RPGs can handle at 10, action games a little over 15. (you CAN play them, doesn't mean it's "fun" to) so to debunk your arguement on speed, 99% of all rpgs are playable, no matter how slow they run.

for me playable means over 50 fps, I tried Suikoden 3 and I had 15 fps and it was slow as hell so for me completly unplayable

Mystic86 : for refference, i have AMD @3.1ghz and gpu HD.3870. for tekken5 game i have to take vu skip in option (60, 56, 1,3) hacks x2 cycle rates to get fps between 60 to 51fps and sometimes in worst event to 48fps. I try in os vista sp.1, this game give me more fps in vista rather than xp. I think you will get same result as mine.

No, my cpu is an overclock one, 3.105/3.150mghz percisely. I think to upgrade to AMD X2 6400+ is not worth, maybe 1-max 3fps different to mine unless you have to overclock it or you can oc your cpu at.3ghz or more with good heatsink and fan, but this option is not recomanded for people who doesnt have knowledge about overclocking.

See my previous post "i have to take option VU SKIP" for tekken5 game (60, 56, 1, 3) and i play that game in OS Vista sp.1, gsdx v.868 0.1.14 and speed hacks x2 cycle rates. So you will know if doesnt take vu skip option, for me at.38fps ingame.

Well, I am an AMD hardware seller in VietNam(Sory for my bad English),and I also an OverClocker too.I'm using AMD II BE 940 OC 5.4Ghz(Stable with Prime in 1h),(4870x2)x2,16GB of Ram(for the best sorce on 3DMark), using Vista 64 bit/32 bit and XP SP3-64 bit/32 bit.(I use 4 OS because there are some trouble with 64 bit, some software don't run in 64 bit, and some software don't run on Vista). And,my brother has and E8400 OC 4ghz(I help him to Overclock to this, since he's a noob in Hardware),9600GT 512MB Vista 32bit,same setting on PCSX2(but GSDX is 4.1) can play Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkachi 3 in 64-69fps,but My sytem can only play in 54-61fps,So PCSX2 really "love" Intel and hate "AMD".I love PCSX2, but if I have to chose between PCSX2 and Intel, with AMD,I chosse AMD.But if you really want to play fine at full fps with pcsx2, use Intel.(But I hate Intel lol)
