Flickering / glitches with GTA III
#1
Okay, guys. I need some help.
I can run GTA San Andreas just fine on my PC (ASUS G75V notebook, 660M), but GTA III yields graphical glitches like these.
Obviously, these glitches take a huge load on my graphics card.
So, does anyone know of a setting which could mitigate this?

In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.
  • Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  • The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  • Any non default settings you are using.
  • What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.

Thank You.

Win 7 Home Premium 64bit SP1
Intel Core i7-3610QM @ 2,3 GHz
8 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M (latest driver)

I'm using PCSX2 1.2.1 (r5875), both ISO and retail disk show the glitch, and it's only Grand Theft Auto III feeling so ill.
It persists if I use native resolution.
Settings: I guess it's easier if I just post pics.

Disable the HW hacks you have on and see if that helps.

Disabling HW hacks doesn't help.
Have others already successfully emulated GTA III? Maybe someone can give some input?

Nope. No luck.
Maybe I'll have to hook up my PS2 after all...

Even that doesn't help.
Thanks anyway, maybe some future PCSX2 build will fix this.

There shouldn't be any glitches according to the compatibility list.
Can you please show the emulog?

What happens if you use Dx9 instead of Dx11?
