***** off lol, what kind of beast do you need to run ps2 games?
I can run skyrim at maximum settings and great framerate, why wouldn't my computer be good enough for this?

hmm. I guess you'll have a hard time to understand since you are one of those who compare native pc games to emulated games
if it's not too complicated for you, check out this thread : http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Sticky-Wi...y-computer

*try take a look at Rezard's profile to see how beast to run almost every ps2 game.
http://forums.pcsx2.net/User-Rezard
*You can't compare between a PC games and an ps2 Emulator try run 2~3 skyrim(s) "simultaneously" this will likely compare the processing power of the ps2 emulator and you did not monitoring your laptop temperatures using "CoreTemp" thats another factor here..hi-heat laptop means "slow".
*and also laptop is very different from desktop gaming PC get gaming desktop and you will found out soon who is the winner laptop or desktop.

Why are there videos on youtube with macbooks with a quarter processing power of my laptop that run the games no problem?

Are you using the latest revision with all speedhack boxes checked? If you're running at least 2.2ghz you should at least play the less demanding games like Disgaea, FFX, and several others. I think there's a list somewhere

never ever trust youtube videos. Videos are rendered @full speed, even if actual gameplay is slow.

2nd, it depends on what you call "quarter processing power" (because 1.4 ghz is REALLY weak)
and 3rd, it depends on the game too... Some games a really less demanding than others.

But I suppose you already know all this since you read both threads Ref & I mentioned, didn't you ?

Look Laurikens, your machine can't take it.
People like you come here regularly and these threads always go down the same route.
User with AMD cpu arives, asks for configs since PCSX2 is slow, gets told that their PC is too slow,
complains that random PC games run full speed at max, gets told not to compare PC games to emulation.
Sounds familiar yet? Tongue2

Thing is that for full speed in your games, you definitely want an Intel machine. One of the latest
preferably.

since you don't know anything about emulation, you definitely need to read this
