Fraps recording laggy?
#1
Hello, I have seen this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1Ymnnr0dGg and I wonder how it is not laggy with fraps.
This is the speed I have (ignore my voice): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Bi4V8wz1AQ

What can I do?
My pc:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
CPU: Intel Core-i5-2400 3.10GHz 3.30GHz
RAM: 4.00 GB
Model: Turbo-X
GPU: Radeon HD 6700 Series

I don't think pcsx2 team used fraps in the first video you mention.
I actually think they used the internal recorder
CPU : I7 2600K Oc'ed @ 4.2Ghz
Mobo : Intel P67 southbridge
GPU : NVIDIA Geforce GTX 750 Ti
RAM : 6 Go

indeed they do, fraps simply captures whats on the screen whereas the internal recorder fetches it straight from the GS

which means that though the game may be lagging, it simply captures it frame by frame and assembles it into a working product
[Main Computer] - CPU: I7 950 @ 3.2Ghz | GPU: Twin Nvidea GTS 450's SLI'd | RAM: 8GB DDR3 - 1600MHz | OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | EMU: PCSX2 v1.0 | GS: GSdx32-SSE4 | SPU2: SPU2-X | PAD LilyPad | CDVD ****

Hello again, I am back here again for this old post to just say that I was just dumb XD Fraps records by pressing F9, so when I did press that button, it changed to software too, thus the lag!

Lol facepalm! Tongue

I have seen this happen a couple of times before. I assign the ` (e.g. the key to the left of the numeral 1) for my record button in FRAPS and Bandicam because of this.
