RE: BSOD AFTER STARTUP?!?
I'm surprised nobody has asked yet, but can you post the error code from the BSOD you're getting?

Guessing flat out is ridiculous when it comes to these, even if you narrow it down to just boot BSOD's, you have it ranging from faulty capacitors, a loose screw fallen on to your main board (you'd be surprised), to boot-sector viruses..

RE: BSOD AFTER STARTUP?!?
Have you run through all the cables making sure none are warped or have a bad connection? besides for that it could possible a software problem (like some driver being loaded on startup) that somehow got corrupted from an in-proper shutdown, next time on the bsod look for any filenames in the message.

you might want to look in your system event log for strange error messages
Start -> Run - eventvwr.msc (or control panel > Administrative tools -> Event Viewer)

So... did you search that error code yet, buddy?

Your BSODs are only at start-up, right?
Maybe this is you...
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?...102AAPp0lN

It suggests a 94% chance that your problem is registry related...

Have you tried running the start-up repair from your Windows disc?
And did ya ever look into my previous suggestion(s)?

ROTFLMAO, the problem is not anything to do with the registry

7E = Generic hardware or driver issue
7B = Inacessible boot device

and since the problem is not consistent, that points to a hardware fault. Most likely the Capacitors have boiled dry in the PSU and the 12v line is below 10.4v at initial startup causing the HDD to lose power during startup and bsod as a result.

Rezard, don't believe all the idiots you see on yahoo answers. Most of them don't even know what a registry is.
