Here is benchmark results for the brand new 650 TI boost for harsh group.

FPS With Core Clock OC - 88.76
FPS With Core Clock And Mem Clock OC - 92.71
EVGA SC 650 TI Boost Core OC @ 1293Mhz, 3000Mhz
EVGA SC 650 TI Boost Core And Mem OC @ 1293Mhz, 3400Mhz

zeikai

As a side note, I literally cannot do stock speed tests of the core clock, the card self overclocks itself and I don't know how to disable it, not like I'd really want to.

Ohmy

I want one! lol

I saw those mentioned before,
but never really stopped to look at it's specs.
With a 6.8Ghz memory clock... I love it. Smile

How's the load temps?

I got the card overclocked now at 1388 core clock, and 3400 memory clock. It never actually goes to 1388 though as no game has required it to do so yet. It auto adjusts itself based on how much power it needs, at 110% it will be at 1388, right now it usually sits at about 80% in most games at around a 1200 core clock. Memory always stays overclocked and does not change.

Max temp it has ever gotten is 78. I have liquid cooling and great venting on my computer though so that's partly why. But it's fantastic so far.

Unfortunately since it does have the self overclocking like that, I can't get the pcsx2 benchmark to push 110%, I think my cpu bottlenecks when the card gets to like 95%. The real fps I would get if it were running max would probably be around 95-98. If someone with an i7 tested it I'm sure that's what they'd get.

Either that or it's just a limitation of the pcsx2 software. cause it never pushes it over 95% even when it actually needs more power.

RE: GPU Benchmark designed for PCSX2
Got a new laptop to test PCSX2 on: Sony Vaio PCG-71312L. I did a factory reset before the test. The whole system was plagued with Sony's bloatware, which Sony named them as "smart utility" and the like. Sony Vaio -- a laptop designed for noobs who don't know how to spend their money on.

Spec:
  • Intel Core i5 CPU M 430 @ 2.27 Ghz
  • Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD
Here are the results:

CPU Benchmark - FFX2 NTSC-U

36.83 FPS - SLUS 20672 - Intel Core i5-430M Processor - 2.26 Ghz (Stock) - Livy

GPU Benchmark - USA BIOS v2.30

19.54 FPS - Intel HD Graphics (Core i5-430M/DDR3/Stock) - Livy (mild)
5.41 FPS - Intel HD Graphics (Core i5-430M/DDR3/Stock) - Livy (harsh)

The GPU clock and memory clock were not stable when running the benchmark, perhaps due to TurboBoost. For example, the GPU clock varied between 640 Mhz and 777 Mhz. So I do not include them in the result above.

I guess you can find EVGA Precision in your driver disc if you wanna do. move the sliders to adjust core/mem clock.

And what harsh group did you take test? NTSC BIOS or PAL BIOS?

durable PC since 2008
CPU : E7200 @ 2.53 GHz 1.04 V / OC 3.7 GHz 1.36 V (390*9.5, 4GB DDR2 780)
GPU : 8600GT (GDDR3, 256 MB) / OC (750 / 900)
BOARD : GA-EP31-DS3L (rev 1.0)
PSU : 300 W
OS : Windows 7 Home Basic x86

I do use EVGA precision to overclock past the self overclock limit, and NTSC bios.
