GS plug-in failed to open
#1
Hi I've been trying to make Pcsx2 work but every time y run the .iso a black screen appears for a couple of seconds with the UI decreasing fastly from 2-3% then it closes and it shows me:

"GS plug in failed to open your computer may have insufficient resources or incompatible hardware/drivers"

i'm trying to run Shadow of the colossus from the .iso file

I already have the latest DirectX drivers, i've installed them several times, and tried switching GS plug in and the only thing that changes is that the black screen doesn't close and gives me info on the top bar like FPS UI etc and seems normal except for the black screen.

i attached a picture with my plug in info.

Windows 7 64-bit
ATI Radeon HD 5670 1Gb
i3 3.080 ghz (1 logical thread)
2Gb RAM

I know it's not the most serius gaming engine in the world but it should work for pcsx2 right?

these are the last text lines that pcsx2 gives me:

invalid bug report
SOTC is working properly on pcsx2

you maybe didnt install ALL 4 Visual C++ Redist and a DX Updates(June 2010)
go to the microsoft download center to get all 5 redists.
and/or you install pcsx2 in a secured windows folder "Program Files","Windows","Users"

You need to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 x86 and Update DirectX Redistributables as said.

Also, did you install Graphics Card Driver. Why its showing VirtualBox Graphics Adapter (4.1.2.0). Re-install the Driver.

If its showing virtualbox drivers then he must be trying to run the emulator on windows while windows is running in virtualbox and seeing as how he has an ati card nvidia drivers arent going to do a thing for him
