[Image: snapsgsdx20091028111239.jpg]

[Image: snapsgsdx20091028111245.jpg]

the first forest has very graphic bugs a i have seen all what i need (better than before)...

i have used pcsx2 svn 2083, gsdx 2085 with a litlle modification of code. i have changed in the file GSRendererHW.h the 2 lines:

m_width = 1024 * m_upscale_multiplier;
m_height = 1024 * m_upscale_multiplier;

to:

m_width = 512 * m_upscale_multiplier + 512;
m_height = 512 * m_upscale_multiplier + 512;

my gsdx.ini:

[Settings]
ModeWidth=800
ModeHeight=600
ModeRefreshRate=85
Renderer=3
Interlace=0
AspectRatio=1
windowed=1
filter=2
paltex=0
vsync=0
logz=0
fba=0
aa1=0
blur=1
nativeres=0
resx=1536
resy=1536
swthreads=1
upscale_multiplier=2
gamefix_skipdraw=1
pixoff_x=0
pixoff_y=0

and in pcsx2 i have activated:

VU0, VU1: microVU Recompiler
Speedhacks: mVU Flag Hack, VU Cycle Stealing: 1

that's all...

other plugins: spu2-x svn 2089, lilypad svn 2088, linuz iso cdvd.

@rama: the gamefix_skipdraw works great!!!!! with my configuration goes the fps down to 5-12 fps if i set gamefix_skipdraw to 0...

RE: GSdx
No idea why you made that code change though, what does it fix for you?

Edit: Ah yeah, it'd nicely get rid of the drawing area overhead. I'll think this through Tongue

RE: GSdx
I've tried new Gsdx and discovered some changes in Tekken 5 game!Some stages in this game(Moonlight Wilderness,Secret Garden and couple more) look bad with any version of Gsdx and players have used to it but now that bug looks different so I wonder if you can now determine what to do to fix it?
Here are some screens :
In native resolution:

In internal resolution(D3D):

and final how it should look(software render):

RE: GSdx
Why are the GSDX plugins so small? They are like 600kb. When I replaced the old one, I was unable to run PCSX2. The plugins for PCSX are like 3 mb or so.... I clicked the link for latest revision and clicked the save [floppy disc symbol] to download it.

RE: GSdx
Older versions had some templates and used different libraries, making the plugin as huge as 3mb, yeah.

To get the latest versions working, follow the guide Gabest has in post #1. Especially update directx.

RE: GSdx
I hope this is the right place to post this question.

Is software rendering meant to run faster than hardware?

Here's two screenshots:

Hardware:
[Image: hardware.th.png]

Software:
[Image: software.th.png]

Now i'm aware that i'm makeing use of multithreading with the software core but still, surely there should be no situation where a processor should out perform a reasonably powerful GPU in rendering graphics. After searching the forum for a while, all the posts my search found about performance with gSDX stated that hardware is faster than software, so my question is this: is this normal or is my system just behaving strangely?

Specs:
AMD Phenom 9600 2.4ghz X 4
8GB RAM
Radeon HD 3870 512MB
Windows 7.

Thanks

RE: GSdx
Some games run faster in software because emulating some of the things they do in hardware is very difficult, shadow hearts is one of those games.
