GT4 Full Speed
#11
well you can see my specs in my sig and i get full speed on GT4 and most PS2 games
but Graphically some games can be bad or moslty good. Which is just because I have
AMD and AMD isnt given alot of love from PCSX2. which is ok. Now about alonewestand, with the
slowdowns by Time Trial (which is only his car on the screen) we would have to know your computer
in order to help you better.

well damn those arent so bad, well sir many things go into affect, such as BUS speeds and
Memory Speeds, Judging by just what you've told me, your getting pretty much all you can get, if you activate the speed hacks, and not run too many programs at the same time. Try overclocking your CPU, you can get up to 3.65ghz and I would stop there for a while, that would grab about 20fps. and you can even overclock your GPU(graphics card). Your at 800mhz which means you can go to 900mhz. I would stop there. and for your memory clock you are at 1150mhz i would go to 1350 and stop there. That would be the best to do, and see how that helps.

It's the CPU clock rate (being any current AMD doesn't help here). And one of the heaviest games to run well. The ferrarinews fiasco is no joke, either.

Ever heard of HyperMemory?

CPU clock rate is MHZ and GHZ anyways Rezard is talking about how it has lots of memory and some memory is like a cushion. kinda like having a 1024mbX2= 2GBs but actually it has lots of extra..like oh idk 2400Megabytes or something like that.

2gb = 2048mb

The extra memory is allocated from your system RAM. The amount will be based on how much is available. It's slow, and is not gonna help if you encountered a situation where it was actually accessed.

Bottom line: Ignore it.

which is why running your emulator off of System Memory is slower with most cards rather than running it right off your graphics card gotcha.

So I'm out of luck because I'm running AMD?

PCSX2 settings? Plugin settings? What are your FPS/EE%/GS% in the game window when you get slowdowns?
