GT4 settings
Hi there,recently got involved with emulating purely to to be able to relive my fond memories on the PS2.So many games that i loved since the consoles release in the UK.One game in perticular that i had many a late night was Gran turismo 4.I have the game running at the moment,but i would be grateful of any feedback from the community regardging the best settings to acheive smooth gameplay,visuals etc.My monitor is a 22inch lcd its recommended res is 1920x1080.Has anybody got the game running/looking cool.cheers.

Far as I can remember this game was pretty demanding... or I could be wrong and a TI-89 could run it.

Without specs like Postal mentioned, I can only say make sure the resolution is no more than 3x.

Ok i've seen your specs but what seems to be your problem????
Low fps??? graphic glitches?????
What is the speed you're getting??

After much tweaking i have got the game running spot on.(on my rig anyhow)
NTSC GT4 version
GSdx 5322(MSVC 16.00,SSE41)0.1.16[GSdx32-SSE4]
Renderer:Direct3D11(Hardware)
Interlacing:Blend tff
Scaling:x3Native
Hardware Mode Settings:Texture Filtering,Allow 8 Bit Textures,Enable HW Hacks(MSAA 0x,Alpha,Half-pixel Offset,Sprite,Aggresive-CRC(all checked)
Emulation Settings:EE,VU,GS(all normal)-Speedhacks:EE cyclerate 2,VU cycle stealing 1,enable INTC spin detection,enable wait loop detection,enable mVU flag hack,enable MTVU
Im running the PCSX2 0.9.9.r5277(svn jun 7 2012)
These settings have given best results so far..
PC specs--
Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P=Motherboard
i5 2500K 3.3GHz@4.2GHz=CPU
8GB(x2 4GB) Corsair Vengence DDR3 RAM=Memory
Sapphire Radeon HD 5770 1GB=GPU

Im not experiencing problems as such,just interested to hear from others who havethe game and have smooth gameplay etc,as for FPS constant 55/59(60) apart from the odd race involving scenary(village,night races,etc)it varies from 45-max,slows down abit aswell.

you don't need to enable 8bit textures and hw hacks unless you got problems with your games...
