GTX 650 or GTX 550 Ti for PCSX2?

GTX 650 or GTX 550 Ti. Can you forecast which one is better performance for playing pcsx2? Any ideas?

Since there's no data in the GPU Benchmark for the two cards...
durable PC since 2008
CPU : E7200 @ 2.53 GHz 1.04 V / OC 3.7 GHz 1.36 V (390*9.5, 4GB DDR2 780)
GPU : 8600GT (GDDR3, 256 MB) / OC (750 / 900)
BOARD : GA-EP31-DS3L (rev 1.0) broken and bought a second hand one replaced
PSU : 300 W
OS : Windows 7 Home Basic x86

The 550 bandwidth and bus width are both higher. I just don't understand what the trailing Ti means.
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 | nVidia GeForce GTX 750 | 4 GiB DDR3 @ 533 Mhz | MSI G41M-P28 | Cooler Master RS-390-PMSR-A3 | Xigmatek TYR SD962 | LG Flatron W1943SE | HP KB-0316 | MotoSpeed F60

I'd say the 650, since it is a generation ahead. And performance would only matter if you crank up the resolution; even my old HD5870 could handle x3-x4 with some ease.

GTX 650 is way better then GTX 550 Ti because it uses GK106 silicon, to process tasks.
GTX 550 Ti is not in the list lol how you think it can compete or might beat GTX 650.
but in some PC games(including BF3) HD 7770 is better then GTX 650.

HD 7770 Vs. GTX 550 Ti
because GTX 650 is not released yet there are no comparisions of its.

but they have no Reviews yet(or maybe it have) so i can't compare them on Anandtech, but i can compare them after seeing their specs and i will say thing GTX 650 is better but it can't overclock much, while HD7770 is a bit wrose then that but it can OC and reach the levels of HD 6870 or GTX 560

GTX 550 Ti hands down.
GTX 650 lose to GTX 550 Ti in almost everything. Just a few games.
The 550 Ti has also more bandwidth. PCSX2 loves GPU bandwidth.
80 GB/s Vs 98 GB/s.

Just make sure the 550 Ti is the GDDR5 version not the DDR3

Only bandwidth can't make an GPU better you need to look overall performance. also you wrote 550 TI hands down and saying the GTX 650 lose to GTX 550 Ti, which GPU you are supporting through?

Am I trolling?! It seems you are drunk.

See the benchmarks for yourself, apparently you don't know what you are talking about.

Also a newer silicon doesn't mean a card from a new series is better. GTX 580 stomps all over the GT 640, while the GT 640 is a newer silicon, and FYI it uses the same GK107 as the GTX 650. Hence why the GTX 650 is quite weak and can't even beat the older generation GTX 550 Ti.

This will clear everything.
First the shaders cores GTX 650 have 384 cores while GTX 550 Ti has only 192 - Shaders cores doesn't really matter since AMD have much more shader cores then nvidia.
Texture Units They are very important but because both have 32 units we will skip this.
Color ROPs they are same too so i will skip it too.
Core (Shader) Clock it is very important lets see this section:GTX 650's core speed is 1058 MHz while GTX 550 Ti's 900 (1800) MHz but ignore the shader clocks(Which are in brackets) because as i said shaders don't really matter, so here you can see GTX 650 is winning, with 2 points
Now the Mem bus here GTX 650 loses(128bit - GTX 650 and 192 - GTX 550 TI)
Memory Bandwidth - GTX 650 loses here too(80 GB/s Vs 98.5) so it is 2-2
now Ram - important to know that the 'G'DDR is better then DDR but here an tie so 2-2
Now Maximum Thermal Design Power - It is important so i am going to extend this one.
  • Okay while GTX 650 uses only 64 W and GTX 550 TI uses 116 W

  • So if the OP have an low power PSU then he don't need to upgrade it, means less expensive if you have an 450W PSU then it is enough for GTX 650 while GTX 550 Ti needs 500W PSU so the OP don't have to upgrade his PSU to install this card.

  • Also you save money everyday with an low power use Tongue

  • GTX 650 = 3 Vs. GTX 550 Ti = 2

Now price - GTX 650's price is 109 $ while GTX 550 Ti's is 110-130$ so one more point for GTX 650 it is 4 Vs. 2

Now how you were telling that GTX 550 Ti is better then GTX 650? prove it make an post like this one and prove that you are right, I have 2 yrs experience in this type of things, if i am wrong then i have alot more to learn.
