Did you tried with ONLY one of those cheats enabled(the pnach file don't have ANY other cheats inside it except one of those)

By looking at this code,searching for this code will be easy.
1.Start the game,look how much gil you have and press Esc
2.Go to Misc=>Patch Finder=>
EE RAM
32bit
Unsigned
Equal
Specific value - type here how much money you have
Search
3.After the search process stop click on Close=>Run=>Execute
4.Buy or sell something and back to Patch Finder.
5.Again the same thing but this time type how much money you have now.
Repeat this process till you find the code.
6.Ones you find it,select the cheat and click on the add button.
7.On new value type 9999999 and click on Ok,then Close and go to Misc=>Patch Browser.
8.Select the cheat and click on Enable/Disable to enable it(on the Column will switch to Yes).
9.Click on pnach Writer,on Comment and Game Name type whatever you want and click on save.

If the code is enabled you'll have 9999999 Gill,otherwise just restart pcsx2.

Finding the money cheat is the best thing to start from while you're learning how to cheat yourself

Any program is good for this,even pcsx2 but I use ArtMoney(with cheating programs is even easier to find those type of cheats rather than using pcsx2)
