Game runs slow/laggy

GT4 runs beautifully in 1080P. I'm in love.

Thanks everyone for the help.

I'm going to try disabling the Speed Step technology and force my CPU to run full speed 24/7. See if that fixes anything.

Since this was never really answered: "How GPU dependant is the emulator?"

Answer: It's not.

There are some games which use much more GPU than others though.

Which, btw, should GT4 be on my GPU list? I've never played it.

I get 2x-3x native on my 650 so it's your call on that.

You play Burnout 3 too... hows it compare to that GPU wise?

Well Burnout is unplayable in software mode because emulating the gs just kills my cpu but gt4 is fine so it's not overly demanding. I'm guessing Intel hd 4000 graphics could run it at native.

GT4 runs great. I'll pay more attention to the FPS ticker to see if it dips below the 50s when I'm gaming.

I can test it on my HTPC, too. It's Intel HD Graphics. (No number)

Hmmm...

That's what I was talking about in PM earlier with someone.

Does GPU intensive also mean GS intensive? The GS thread is CPU side, as you pointed out. By my definition, GPU intensive means the GPU ONLY. If the CPU is causing slowdown, then it goes to NarooN's list. Even if it's the GS thread.

And, maybe some of the newer Intel graphics could. I know the one on my mom's laptop won't. I forget what it is. If I run PCSX2 on it, I get CPU AND GPU slowdown lol.

Looked it up. Her laptop is:
Intel Core i3-3110M
Intel® HD Graphics 4000

Yep. Useful for anything but gaming though. Actually PPSSPP runs nice on it.

Well if that i3 Intel HD 4000 graphics wont play this emulator well then I wont even bother. Mine isn't even an i-core processor. It's a Pentium G860 or something. I forget now, but it is Sandy Bridge. One day I'll put a real GPU in it.

As for GT4, doesn't seem to be stressing my GPU much. Getting 50+ FPS @ 1080P. No idea what my CPU is doing.

Ok, this weekend I will try to get some testing done on GT4 for you. How does PPSSPP run well on that?
