Games Lagging

I recently downloaded pcsx2 1.0.0 and have been playing Kingdom Hearts. At first it ran quite well, but now during intense combat with a lot of things going on, it starts to lag and the frames drop (to about 40-45 fps). It ran well for a while but I can't get it to run smoothly during those parts. All my settings are default except I have been messing with the speed hacks to attempt to stop this from happening.

Intel i5 core M460
2.53 ghz
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650
Running windows 7

Are you using native internal res ?
Your gpu is a bit weak to handle more, especially in gpu taxing areas...

yeah its set to native. if its my computer than its fine but if there is anything I could do to help during those times it would be helpful.
