try some different values for the scaling, 1080x1080, 1200x1200, 1024x1024, one of these may help with the vertical lines. although possible, doubling one the sets should be attempt only after something around 2x is achieved to run flawless.
I'm not absolutely sure about the following information but seems fairly accurate, most PS2 games run in 576p or 576i ( 720x576) and some at 480p (720x480) and yet less at 1080i. Those values can change for FMVs making things more complicated ever. Scaling becomes a try and err procedure in a sense. Beyond the more common 512x448 and 640x480.
Doubling those values can be a good first try.

Thanks again, with these settings the game is perfectly enjoyable now!
Actually this is a big suprice, because Tekken 5 runs fine, but Tekken 4 is laggy with 0.9.6 and not even starting properly with 0.9.7.
I don't have Tekken 4 but Tekken Tag is much tougher to get full speed than tekken 5.

Yeah correct, Tekken Tag is the toughest to emulate, I cannot get full fps all the time with my processor overclocked to 4.4 GHz without speedhacks.
But with 3.8 GHz and moderate speedhacks I get full fps in almost every stage with PCSX2 0.9.6 r1888.
Tekken 4 should work with no problems with the correct plugins & settings (at least for me).

Im also trying to play with Soul Calibur 3, and its runs great also, but the screen is shifed to the left, so i can barely see one third of the picture, and also sometimes picture fragments tend to freeze/loop in the missin part.
Any solution for that?

Could you take a screenshot of the problem? What settings?

strar to answer your question about Soul Calibur 3
when it comes to where your screen is, its a resolution issue,
and a scaling issue(unless its in Native). Try Making The game
itself diffrent resolutions, I think i remember being able to do
that.
