God of War 2 Why so slow when people with normal specs run it fine?
#1
Well,I really have a expectative about this game running here,now guess it's time to commit suicide (That's sarcastic) but anyway,see a lot of people in youtube running it smoothly with mid-end specs,so wth?Why so slow here,45-50 Fps here,and this make game looking like it was in slow motion.
Anyway tested it on pcsx2 1.3.0 and 1.1.0,the performance is the same no diference.
Guess my GTX 650Ti is too powerless to run this game or my FX 8350 is the cause again...
Tested it when 3x native,PS2 native,2x native and the same thing 40-50 fps

My Specs:
FX 8350 4.2 Ghz
8 GB Ram 1600Mhz
GTX 650Ti 1GB

pal or NTSC ?
what do the ee% & gs% say when you get slowdowns ?
What settings did you use ? which speedhacks ?

A side note for beginners : never trust youtube videos. they will be played at full speed even if actual gameplay was 5 fps
CPU : I7 2600K Oc'ed @ 4.2Ghz
Mobo : Intel P67 southbridge
GPU : NVIDIA Geforce GTX 750 Ti

EE= 69-90%
GS=58-72%

Emulation Settings,everything is in default.

GSDX and Plugins:

Speedhacks enabled:

EE Cyclerate: 3
INTC Spin Detection
Enable Wait Loop Detection
Mvu Flag Hack
MTVU

And i noticied a bug,there's a hollow/reflect of Kratos in his side and in other objects the same problem,and when underwater there's some lines in the screen,but that bugs are not that annoying

Afaik, the "ghost bug" can be removed wIth skipdraw set to 1.
This ee around 95% means your cpu is struggling.
Try setting ee cycle rate to 2 & vu cycle stealing to 1

MTVU speedhack makes a huge difference in the GoW games, i suggest turning it on.

VU Cycle Stealing make it slower,settings EA Cycle to 2 doesn't change much,but i played it for a while,only in parts who have much lightning detail and more effects are slower.
