You still didn't change you Window's Power Plan.
(This is part of your OS, not PCSX2).

Go to the Control Panel of your computer.
Then, go to the Power Options.
Select the "High Performance" profile.

This may help more than you'd think.
Your processor could have been being throttled (typically ~half speed).

You also should consider lowering the internal resolution to Native.
This can be found in the Video (GS) plugin settings.

BTW - Am I the only one who gets a big wang ad on that site with the specs...? Laugh
Nice choice for an upload site, markrv. ;P
Don't mind me; I'm just gonna simplify your posting of specs...

Did you lower the internal res, too?

Are you using any Speedhacks?

Have you changed any other PCSX2 settings without knowledge of what you were changing...?

(FYI - I have a C2D 2.8Ghz, and GT 230M in my laptop. Yours should easilly perform well with FFX, too.)

When you say "Recommended Resolution",
do you mean your computer screen's resolution...?

I'm talking about a completely different resolution.
If Speedhacks are making no impact on the troubled battle scenes,
then it would seem your limitation is from your GPU.
Lowering the rendered resolution can help this...

On your notion to use remote assistance--
I'd rather see you catch the fish than catch it for you. Wink

No problem. Smile

One question:

What was holding you back?
Was it the internal resolution...?
