In the compatibility list, it says that the game "Gran Turismo 4" is at "Ingame" but it should really be rated "Intro". It doesn't even make it to the main menu. I am trying to play the ntsc version. Can anybody help me?

Did I get a crapy bios or something weird? What PS2 version has the best bios for PCSX2?

After your extensive testing, you probably didn't press 'start'.
People who added data in the compatibility list actually have a tad more experience than you (about 8 years) so maybe you should start trusting it more.
PCSX2 works with any bios file, although only the one you got from your own PS2 is legal
