Gran Turismo 4 configuration guide+shader!!! Best looking Gran Turismo 4 ever! 2013

I can say you are right about each individual having their own preferences or tastes. But I will have to say that if you are a videophile like I am, you will make sure that (first of all) your monitor is calibrated properly. This alone will improve image quality overall. If you have done so, I am sure that you will find the shader that I provided to be the most accurate. Just wanted to clarify that. I use these settings for my 22 in. primary monitor and I also love playing through my 55 in. plasma I use as a secondary screen. Which looks fantastic by the way Wink

I like mroussev settings better. Its nice and bright and can see thing A LOT better than the other pics that were provided. With the shader off it looks like you are driving at night during daytime.

I would say without shader game looks like you're wearing sunglasses. Wink

The problem is not everyone has the same eyesight, myself for example, I'm an old man by now, with low sensibility to contrast and probably the ideal for a normal vision has not enough contrast and brightness for me. ahh, what I mean would be something like: don't rely on whatever I could say would be the best setup, in this case Smile

I believe your eyesight is normal and that makes for a totally different story, but...

I'll say it again. Calibrate your monitor before trying any of the suggestions. Both Nvidia and ATI provide you with a wizard for calibration. I personally calibrate by using different methods to get it right. That way you can really appreciate the best configuration for you.

Guys, you were right all this time. I just realized I had uploaded the wrong shader.fx file. Uploading the right one which should give you a little brighter shadows and contrast improvement. Please re-download shader.

EDIT: I also realized that the pictures aren't very accurate because of compression. The best way to really tell the difference is to actually use the shader in the game.

Use .png and FRAPS, do not use integrated pcsx2 solution.

I'm actually doing ctrl+alt+prtsc and pasting into gimp. Then I convert to .jpg but quality is lost.

I've been working on a better shader for GT4. I will be posting it soon. I'm trying to achieve a better gamma and contrast correction. Hopefully it will be the one everybody would prefer for the game.
