Gran Turismo 4 regression

Hi, I have found a regression in latest git. There is a square around players dot on map (screenshot below). Sometimes it's black, sometimes it's transparent or glitched. 
There is also another regression. The small picture of car next to timer during race is distorted (screenshot below). The annoying is that this happens only sometimes.
I also tested 1.3.1 git with same settings and those issues are not present. 

Specs:

OS: Win 8.1 x64
CPU: Intel Core i7 4700MQ
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 740M
RAM: 8GB

I've reproduced the issue and I've found the guilty commit/PR: https://github.com/PCSX2/pcsx2/pull/1550

Unforutnately (or fortunately?) you are partially wrong. The "small picture of car next to timer during race is distorted" issue is present even in older git. Reproduced in v1.5.0-dev-1260-gd27d2dd-windows-x86
But the map is fine there.

Edit: v1.5.0-dev-589-g22a40b6-windows-x86 seems to be the bad guy.

Does the car picture issue affect software mode?

Probably HW mode only. After the correct picture is loaded in SW mode, then it looks correct even in HW mode.
But the "square around players dot on map" is in SW mode.

hmm, can you try an older build of PCSX2 with the newer GSDX?

The car image is an OGL HW only issue, that regressed somewhere between v1.5.0 git build 550 and 900.
