Gsdx Hardware mode problems
#1
the gsdx plugin i have that comes packed with the emulator (GSdx 0.1.16 r5875) has some serious issues with hardware mode it DOES render the game but it just shows me a black screen the software mode runs fine but obviously is slow as hell i tried using the miseru99 custom plugin wich does show the game in hardware mode but it is glitchy as hell while this is not a problem in some games in others it makes them unplayable i also tried the gsdx9 plugin that can be found on the site but it has little to no option compared to the packed in one and it also looks pixellated as hell

What version of PCSX2 are you running? What version of Windows? What game are you trying to play?

Unofficial plugins are also not supported, anyway.

In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.
  • Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.
  • The version of PCSX2 you are using.
  • Any non default settings you are using.
  • What games you are trying to play and if you are playing them from ISO or DVD.

Thank You.

Miserus gsdx plugin is just for the Budokai tenkaichi series. Use the plugin packed with the latest svn. Its just a wild guess, but you are using the dx10/11 backend right? The last time i tried the opengl renderer ( some time back ) it gave black screen on a few games.

It's probably a old Intel graphics chipset problem. what GPU do you have ? please post the emulog.

Try using the default GSdx plugin which comes with the stable version.

The default GSdx plugin should be present in the plugins directory of the PCSX2 directory. Change the GS plugin by entering the plugin selector menu and choosing the GSdx r5873 plugin in the GS drop down list.
