HD Remakes

Nope. Same texture, just rendered at a higher resolution, hence less fuzziness, and now there is MLAA, which takes it away and makes it clearer. I think spending 5 minutes doing this process was really tough for em'.

Because they run at less than 720p resolution; with all the graphics turned down to the lowest they can go. They are running @ 30FPS. They have decreased draw distance, higher LOD, ect.

Um, If you set Battlefield to "Lowest" on PC it's atrocious compared to the PS3. I'd say it's more along the lines of medium-high.

So again I'm wondering how a GPU along the lines of a GeForce 7*** series could have a hope of rendering BF3(Even if it really "was" at lowest).

Mm...nope.

It is basically a 7800. It was explained besides that, as well, as optimizing for one set of Hardware is really easy. With PC, optimization is low due to the many variations of PC's.

Lol at the mere idea of PS3 running Medium-high BF3. PS3 or X360 can't handle it @ more than low 720p.

PS3 lacks RAM for more, and X360 lacks the CPU power.

Many textures in ICO and SotC remake have been manually enhanced.
Meaning an artist went over them and made them nicer.
Yea, they're upscaled but they're also hand tuned to look nice.

DICE themselves said the consoles run the game at roughly the same as the low PC settings:

A lot of the visual effects used in the Medium, High and Ultra PC settings are DX11 effects (tesselation, HBAO, etc) none of which can be generated by the consoles. The console version was locked to 30fps and 702p res to keep it playable.
