Hardware Requirements.

I'm about to purchase a new laptop. I want to know if the specs are good enough to run the emulator before I buy it though.

The specs of the laptop are:
CPU: 2nd generation Intel® Core™ i7-2670QM processor 2.20 GHz with Turbo Boost up to 3.10 GHz

RAM: 8GB3 Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1333MHz

GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 525M (128-bit) 1GB (Quad) & Intel HD Graphics/HD Graphics 3000 with up to 1.6GB Dynamic Video Memory

I know I have enough RAM and CPU power. My only concern would be the GPU.

GPU Specs:

CUDA Cores: 96
Processor Clock: Up to 1200 MHz
Texture Fill Rate (billion/sec): up to 9.6
Memory clock (MHz): 900
Standard Memory Config: DDR3
Memory Interface Width: 128-bit
Memory Bandwidth (GB/sec): 28.8
Supports: NVIDIA Optimus Technology
Hardware Video Decode Acceleration
NVIDIA Verde Drivers
NVIDIA PhysX-Ready
NVIDIA CUDA Technology
Microsoft DirectX 11

I can't find the Intel HD Graphics 3000 GPU specs.

Would this be enough to run the emulator or would you consider a better GPU?

The GT 525M can be enough for most games, but may need to stay at low internal resolution.

The HD Graphics will be considerably weaker, so do not use it.

better not get a laptop since all laptops is not the best for pcsx2 due to limitations e.g. heat and it's ventilations.
best to get a desktop as the main powerhouse.

Thanks for the response. I kno the intel is weaker but with the nvidia optimization software utilizes both graphic cards. I'm glad to know the nvidia is a decent graphic card though.

Yeah. The thing is though that i move around constantly and stay at 3-4 different places so i need mobility. If you know of a tower that is as strong as the laptop for $800 or less let me know.

the case is MicroATX, its bigger than a laptop but its about

14inches tall *updated the case is ATX not mid or micro ATX so its actually bigger.*
and 25 inches long
ROUGHLY so really it would be like taking a small suitcase with you.
which would be the same as a laptop with all ur stuff the carrying case and some headphones
with battery charger some USB cords and W.e else.
hope this helps!!

here is a Micro ATX case for your Micro ATX asus mobo
your RAM will fit your processor will fit your heat sync will fit
your 300Watt power supply will fit and your graphics card will fit all
for under $500 roughly.
actually that graphics card interests me for my wifes build...

Don't take the AMD, it'll be way slower than the laptop even.

wow RAMA all I have to say to you is garstig Lehre . why would you say such an unhelpful thing.
now that setup will get you GREAT frames on most games. This setup will perform better than my rig,
now imagine the CPU at 3.60ghz. yes because its the same as the AthlonX2 it can do it. mines at 3.7ghz
and its a quadcore. enough about me, but if your NOT a fan of AMD then youll like INTEL.

This is an abysmal result for a new computer.
You're recommending a machine that doesn't even reach full speed in this benchmark.

Edit:
Good job cherrypicking the most expensive (but outdated, try again!) CPU Intel has to offer Tongue2
