Hardware for near perfect emulation and HD Streaming/Recording using Max settings
Right now these are my system specs:

MSI 990FXA-GD80 AM3+
AMD FX-8150 Zambezi 3.6GHz Socket AM3+
Patriot Wildfire PW120GS25SSDR 2.5" 120GB SATA III
SAPPHIRE Flex 100328FLEX Radeon HD 6770 1GB GDDR5

Right now I'm trying to build a better computer than this for Emulation and HD Streaming/Recording (Ustream CPU intensive stuff).

I Would like to pay under 500 for each part total price is no object.

I would like SLI cause this system I will be using for most modern games available on steam.

My main goal is to get the Demi graphics in Final fantasy 10 to be run in full emulation with x6 native cause they don't run like that with my setup listed above I have to use x3 for perfect emulation. Im also going to be recording or doing HD streaming while running it at x6 native and x16 Anti-aliasing. I may not be able to do this for under 500 bucks so just tell me if i cant.

Id also like the FMV in X-2 to be rendered at near perfect emulation If at all possible. Right now I want a processor that can run DX11 in software mode with the FMV running at full emulation with no speed hacks aside from MTVU.

I will be overclocking so getting a processor at higher GHz as a base is a priority.
Those are my goals with this system.

The above was edited to reflect my goals with this build. so quotes below will show the original post.

the FFX-2 will run full speed just use HW mode and Speedhacks and the 2 games will run full speed upgrading is totally useless ...

how old is this PC 4 months ?

Well my Goal is running the emulator with no speed hacks, But as far as the age I built this computer over the course of the past 2 years slowly.

Because I'm getting a big check in the mail and I will have the money.

Tongue

Besides I don't like speed hacks unless its MTVU

Plus I want to run MSAA at x16 and Use fraps to run the emulator with no slow down and no speed hacks.

But i'm not paying 1000 bucks for a processor 500 is the minimum IF you think I could do with a better one explain it to me and I might.

Im building my dream computer so think of it as a dream computer for emulating PS2 games.

I mean I could go hook up my PS2 and play these games that way but that's no fun.

It is weird to hear that your 6770 could not handle Demi at full speed unless you're using 6x native.

Get the i5 3570K. It seems to be the best for now. Some games still require speedhacks to achieve full speed however. If you're not dying for playing some PS2 games on your PC, wait for Haswell next year.

Edit: I found lying on my bed playing on the PS2 and a HDTV is more fun than sitting before a PC. But I usually hook my PC to my TV for higher resolution.

Yea x6 Native Tongue

I guess
I can turn it down to x3

But Id rather run it at x6 so how much V-ram do i need?

That depends on circumstance and your Job.

I am getting a commission check in the mail and im getting some taxes back the same day so.

Just tell me what you would build but never want to spend the money on for a dream computer and, I'll decide what I'm going to do as far as hasellwell, Im not waiting just tell me the stuff i can buy now and I might change my mind when it comes out.

Demi is slow because of scaling + low vram bandwidth

and in my experience. 128bit memory interfaces have never been good for high scaling on any video card generation.

take the Geforce FX 5900XT for instance. with that i could use 2x scaling in petes opengl2, yet on a 6600GT, which had exactly the same memory bandwidth, albeit on a 128bit (instead of 256) bus, 2x would drop the framerate to the floor.
