Help Needed with Memcard Folder

I'm new to using this emulator, so if I've made any embarrassing oversights, my apologies. But I just can't seem to get it to recognize the memory card.

Initially, the memcard folder was empty. I downloaded the formattedmemcards.7z and assigned the new files to the memory card slots, but I keep getting the same string of errors when I try to run a game.

-Failed loading MemoryCard from file: memcards/Mcd001.ps2
-Failed loading MemoryCard from file: memcards/Mcd001.ps2
-Then the memcards folder pops up, but my downloaded formated memory cards do not show up under Supported Files
-Error loading
-Error opening CDVD Plugin

And that's it. Is there something I need to fix? I admit I'm not particularly tech savvy, but I feel I've exhausted everything.

Run pcsx2 as admin (right click->Run as admin)
